WHO
DO WE SERVE:
FBCM serves children 6 weeks old
thru ten years of age.
LATE
PICK UP CHARGE:
First Baptist Children's Ministry
closes at 6:00 PM. If your
child is not picked up by 6:00 PM, a
late fee is charged to your account.
The late fee is $6.00 for every 10
minutes or portion thereof.
You will be required to sign a
statement saying you arrived to pick
up your child after 6:00. The
staff person will also sign this
statement. You will be
expected to pay this charge with the
next week's tuition.
SNOW
POLICY: In the
event bad weather should occur
during the night, we will make every
effort to be open the next morning.
If it is too bad to open, closing
announcements will be on the local
television stations and WLON radio.
The announcement on television may
be shown as either First Baptist
Children's Ministry of Lincolnton or
1st Baptist C.M. of Lincolnton.
If First
Baptist Children's Ministry closes
for the full day, you will be
charged for that day. If the
public schools close early, we will
pick up the children and you will be
charged accordingly.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
First Baptist Children's Ministry
has noticed that cars are left
running and occasionally siblings
are left in the cars. For the
safety of children, we have
established this policy.
Because of the serious nature of
this policy, it will be strictly
enforced and carries serious
ramifications.
DO NOT
leave your car running in the
parking lot, under the shelter or in
the driveway. Children are not
left in the car without adult
supervision. The first
Violation will result in a warning
that requires you to sign a warning
notice. The second Violation
will result in termination of your
child (ren) from FBCM.
Although we understand that parents
are in a hurry, we feel that this
policy is in the best interest of
all children. We appreciate
your cooperation in our endeavor to
keep your children safe.
WHAT TO
BRING:

wipes, unopened baby food

Every child must have at least one
complete change of clothing at the
center. Each piece of clothing
that a child brings or wears must be
clearly marked with the child's name

children go outside twice a day, so
be sure that your child is dressed

your child to wear them outside.

with close contact between the
children, viruses and diseases are
easily spread. if your child
has a communicable disease, you must
notify administration as soon as
possible.
Other parents
will be notified that their child
has been exposed to a communicable
disease and alerted to watch for
symptoms. A child that has
been absent due to a communicable
disease will require a doctor's note
to return. If your child is
"too sick to go outside to play", do
not bring him to school. Staff
members are not available to stay
inside with one child and outdoor
activity is an important part of the
program. Children will go
outside twice daily depending on the
weather.

BEHAVIOR
MANAGEMENT:
Praise and positive reinforcement
are effective methods of the
behavior management of children.
When children receive positive,
non-violent and understanding
interactions from adults and others,
they develop good self-concept,
problem solving abilities, and
self-discipline.
